Thom Yorke’s voice and presence have accompanied my interest in alienation, anxiety and the fragile body for many years. In this original mixed-media portrait, I avoid a polished likeness and instead build the face through broken lines, exposed marks and uneasy colour. The image reflects the tension, vulnerability and distance associated with Radiohead’s visual and musical world while remaining part of my own grotesque portrait language. Created in Istanbul in 2020, this work belongs to an ongoing series portraying musicians, filmmakers, writers and thinkers who have shaped my imagination.
