This second portrait of The Prodigy focuses on the physical intensity and abrasive visual language surrounding the electronic group. Sharp marks, compressed forms and unstable mixed-media colour replace the polished surface of a conventional music image. I wanted the drawing to carry the pressure of amplified rhythm and the collision between rave, punk and underground performance culture. Created in Istanbul, the work forms part of my continuing portrait series of musicians, filmmakers and cultural figures whose presence exceeds ordinary celebrity representation.
