Red Hot Chili Peppers have always represented a collision of rhythm, physical energy, vulnerability and excess. This original band portrait translates that movement into a raw mixed-media illustration shaped by restless lines, distorted faces and layered colour. I was less interested in producing a clean promotional likeness than in capturing the unstable collective energy of the group and the visual tension inside their music. Created in Istanbul in 2020, the work belongs to my continuing series of musicians and cultural figures interpreted through a grotesque, underground sensibility. Original Red Hot Chili Peppers and RHCP portrait illustration by İlker Ortaç, an Istanbul-based writer, illustrator and visual artist.
