Flea, born Michael Peter Balzary, brings physical movement, rhythm and restless character to the visual identity of Red Hot Chili Peppers. This original mixed-media portrait focuses on that kinetic presence through sharp lines, distorted anatomy and layered colour instead of a polished music-poster likeness. I wanted the image to suggest both the explosive energy of performance and the vulnerability beneath it, keeping the surface visibly handmade and unstable. Created in Istanbul, the work is part of my ongoing series of musicians and cultural figures interpreted through a grotesque and underground visual language. Original Flea and RHCP portrait illustration by İlker Ortaç, an Istanbul-based writer, illustrator and visual artist.
