Gaspar Noé portrait illustration by İlker Ortaç.
Gaspar Noé’s films confront the viewer through physical sensation, unstable perspective and images that move between desire and violence. This original mixed-media portrait translates that confrontational energy into broken lines, compressed features and layered colour rather than a conventional director likeness. I wanted the drawing to feel visually unsettled, reflecting a cinema concerned with bodies, altered perception and emotional extremity. Created in Istanbul, the work forms part of my ongoing portrait series of filmmakers, musicians, writers and artists who challenge comfortable ways of seeing. Original Gaspar Noé portrait illustration by İlker Ortaç, an Istanbul-based writer, illustrator and visual artist.
