Cem Karaca joined Anatolian rock, political memory and a powerful stage presence in a voice that remains central to modern Turkish music. In this original mixed-media portrait, I translate that energy through bold contours, distorted features and layered colour rather than a polished promotional likeness. The drawing focuses on Karaca as both musician and public figure, carrying resistance, theatricality and vulnerability within the same face. Created in Istanbul, the work forms part of my ongoing portrait series of musicians, writers, filmmakers and cultural figures.
