Barış Manço brought together Anatolian rock, popular storytelling and an unmistakable visual identity that crossed generations. This original mixed-media portrait interprets that familiar presence through expressive lines, layered colour and deliberate distortion instead of a smooth nostalgic likeness. I wanted the image to hold both the warmth of his public character and the strangeness that made his appearance and music so memorable. Created in Istanbul, the work belongs to my continuing series of musicians, writers, filmmakers and cultural figures interpreted through a grotesque and underground visual language.
